Thrive Yorkshire grows and grows

The fourth year of Thrive Yorkshire - Business Growth Conference, once again inspired delegates and exhibitors from Ilkley and beyond.

The event which is heavily subsidised and sponsored by the ‘Ilkley Business Forum’, was held at the new venue of ‘The Kings Hall and Winter Gardens’ in Ilkley last Thursday and was attended by over 150 people. Feedback from delegates was very positive.

Claire Hundsdoerfer from popular, Ilkley business ‘The Little Teahouse’ said:

“Once again, another great Thrive Conference. Thrive 2017 was a real showcase of passionate speakers and exhibitors with plenty of opportunity to network too. I’ve come back to work brimming with ideas which I’m excited to implement. See you next year!”

The event was opened by Kersten England CEO of Bradford Council and Keynote speaker William Rogers whose presentation was described as thought-provoking with lots of ideas and tips on how to get the best from your team as an employer.

As well as workshops on ‘Inspiring women to achieve’, ‘How to win business on Linkedin’ and ‘Having the right Attitude in Business’, the conference also welcomed back Ruth Whiteley who had delegates captivated as she told the story of her time on BBC’s ‘The Apprentice’, and gave her top tips for sales success.

Amongst the exhibitors were Stray FM, the conferences key media sponsors, who broadcast live on the day and Doodle HR.

Nancy Prest from Doodle HR said: “We have exhibited at Thrive Yorkshire for the last three years and we can honestly say it has helped our business grow, we have met new clients each year and the seminars are full of insightful tips. The quality of delegates is much better than other events we have attended and we recommend Thrive Yorkshire as an event to anyone.”
