Shaunna's taking on two Himalayas feats for Macmillan

Shaunna Burke from Addingham is raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support by heading to the Himalayas to climb Lobuche Peak and run the Everest Marathon.
Shaunna, a member of both the Ilkley Cycling Club and Ilkley Harriers, is living with incurable stage 4 breast cancer and has recently completed 12-months of aggressive treatment.
Supporting a charity close to her heart, Shaunna said:
“Join me on an epic journey to the Himalayas to climb Lobuche Peak (6119m) and run the Everest Marathon while fundraising in support of Macmillan
“I am excited to be raising money for Macmillan who provide a range of services for people living with cancer to help them live life as fully as they can.
“With your help and kindness, we can make a real difference in the lives of people affected by cancer.
“Throughout my climb and run, I will be openly discussing the challenges people face when diagnosed with cancer and the mind-set needed to cultivate resilience and grow through adversity. Join me on this incredible journey and together let’s make a positive impact on the world.”
