Printmakers Circle launches its new book and exhibition, Impressed, at Ilkley Manor House on Saturday, 2 November, to celebrate ten years of collaboration and exhibiting together.
The group consists of professional artists who specialise in printmaking and live and work in North Yorkshire. Impressed features in-depth profiles of each member, offering insights into their techniques, working methods, and inspirations. Expect beautiful images of the printmakers at work, as well as some of their favourite pieces, including etchings, screen prints, collagraphs, linocuts, monotypes, and carborundum prints.
“What started as a lockdown project to keep the group connected developed into an acknowledgement and celebration of the incredible range of printmaking skills and approaches that each member brings to the group and all we have achieved over the years together. Ilkley Manor House is such a beautiful and fascinating building with a rich history as an arts venue so it seemed like the perfect setting for our exhibition and book launch, bringing our printmaking to a new and receptive audience,” says founder member, Hester Cox.
The book will be available for purchase at the exhibition, alongside framed and unframed original artworks. The exhibition runs from 2–3 and 9–10 November upstairs in Ilkley Manor House, which is open from 11am to 4pm, with free entry. Artists from Printmakers Circle will be present to welcome visitors and answer questions.
