Police seek information after swastika scratched onto 13 cars in Ilkley

Officers are keen to identify the man in the CCTV pictures and would like to speak to him in connection with the incident.

Police are appealing for information after a number of vehicles were damaged in the Ilkley area.  


The incidents happened on Riddings Road, Hawksworth Street and Cow Pasture Road where a Swastika was scratched onto car doors on 13 vehicles on 22 March, 12 April and 15 April.


Police are treating the incidents as racially aggravated criminal damage offences.


Officers are keen to identify the man in the CCTV pictures and would like to speak to him in connection with the incident.  



Inspector John Barker from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We are appealing for the identity of the male in this picture and anyone with information is asked to contact us.  


“Offences like this have a huge impact on the local community, my officers will be out providing reassurance to residents.”
