‘Order and Collect’ available at Ilkley library this week

Bradford Libraries’ new ‘Order and Collect’ service for books will now be available in Ilkley from Thursday.

The new book ordering service gives people the opportunity to reserve books from the Bradford Libraries online catalogue or by phoning the library. The service was launched in early July and has been a great success with nearly 3000 people ordering and collecting books in the first three weeks.

Ilkley will join a number of other libraries across the Bradford District offering the ‘Order and Collect’ service which allows customers to be able to collect their book orders at an agreed time slot from a single collection point in each library.

Customers will also be able to return their books when they collect their orders or can return them at any time without booking a slot. To help customers make book choices and discuss reading preferences, library staff will also be available via phone and email and will put together a pack of books for customers.

Ilkley Library will open its doors from Thursday 6 August and will be open Monday to Saturday 10am– 3pm and will close for lunch 12.30-1pm
