Ilkley Blacksmith, Tom Bromley, is opening his new shop, Burnt Orchid, on Wednesday 6th December, located on Wharfe View Road.
Tom told Ilkley Chat: “I pride myself on using traditional blacksmithing methods and tools passed to him by the previous Blacksmith in Ilkley, keeping the heritage and legacy alive.
“The shop will stock hand forged stainless steel, brass and copper items ranging from dishes to vases to cups to utensils, the perfect addition to your kitchenware or a special Christmas gift for a loved one.
“Burnt Orchid specialises in a full range of metal works such as blacksmithing, copper smithing and welding and will undertake commissions, repairs and restoration projects. Some recent projects have included the restoration of the Manor House's external lantern and providing services to local establishments, Friends of Ham and Community Cutlery.

On opening day, Wednesday 6th December, Tom will be staying open late till 8pm and invites people to pop by the shop to browse kitchenware, or to discuss any commissions or projects Burnt Orchid can assist with.
The opening hours building up to Christmas will be:
Wednesday 6th Dec 10am - 8pm
From Thursday 7th Dec to 23rd December:
Mon - Wed 8am - 7pm
