Father Christmas will visit Ilkley on Saturday 25th November when he comes to switch on the new starry night themed Christmas lights.
The new motifs will adorn Brook Street, Station Road and The Grove, and are made from recycled plastic bottles.
There will be a Christmas Market on The Grove and festive music and performances throughout the day before Santa arrives on his horse-drawn carriage at 5pm.
Ilkley Town Mayor, Councillor Karl Milner said: "Many people enjoy our wonderful high-street all year round; but there is something very special about Ilkley at Christmas. We would like to invite you to join us and kick-off the yuletide countdown – we are delighted to confirm that Father Christmas has found time in his busy schedule to switch on our festive lights once again this year. We look forward to welcoming you along.
“Make a note in your diaries to come along and join in the fun.”
