Ilkley Soroptimists welcomed new member Anne Clarke at their September meeting held at the Clarke Foley Centre.
Anne whilst still enjoying an impressive career in education and publishing moved to Ilkley from the south so she could enjoy walks and rambles in the Dales.
“We are delighted to welcome Anne to our club” said Margaret Cook, a long serving Ilkley member, “Anne has already joined in a couple of meetings and we very much look forward to the experience and skills she brings.”
At the September meeting of representatives of the 19 Yorkshire Soroptimist Clubs, Ilkley member Sue Butler was elected as Vice President. At the same Yorkshire meeting local Soroptimist members, many from Ilkley, were awarded the Yorkshire President’s Prize for their work with the Together Women Project at the Carlisle Business Centre in Bradford.
