Ilkley Swimming Club, which supports over 200 local swimmers from juniors to masters, has launched a fundraising appeal to replace its diving blocks which are over 30 years old and no longer fit for purpose.
The club, which is based at Ilkley Pool & Lido, is a not-for-profit community asset and is run by a volunteer committee.
A spokesperson for Ilkley Swimming Club said:
“We on a mission to give children and teens the best chance to develop their swimming skills – but we need your help!
“This investment in new diving blocks would benefit all members, keeping swimmers safe and competitive, and would be a real asset for the club.
“Be a part of our swimming legacy, donate today and help us make a splash for future champions.
“Thank you for your support! Together, we can keep Ilkley Swimming Club swimming strong.”
Ilkley Swimming Club has set a target of £1,800 to replace the diving blocks, donations can be made at https://www.gofundme.com/f/ilkley-swimming-club
