Set up as a Warm Space in 2022, the ‘Thursday Club’ reopens at 10am on 5th September after its summer break.
Organiser Anne Hawkesworth said: “I have said that the original concept of warm space had evolved more into meeting and socialising in order to combat isolation for some.
“Circumstances have changed in last few weeks however taking into account the removal of extra funding for heating for many.
“There will be newspapers and exchange of magazines. The Friends of King’s Hall are supporting and hopefully Tesco.
“For first meeting, The Yukes have kindly agreed to perform popular tunes and leading a singalong.
“I hope we will have a full balcony and all are welcome - young and old - prams and dogs.”
The ‘Thursday Club’ will take place each Thursday from 5th September between 10am until 12.30pm on the balcony of the Winter Garden on Station Road, a lift is available for those who need it.
