Keighley and Ilkley MP Robbie Moore launched his inaugural Christmas Card competition last month and has this week announced the winner, six-year-old Thomas Carpenter-Allum from Ilkley.
Primary school children were encouraged to send in festive-related pictures to feature on the front of Robbie's official Christmas card and the competition was well received by local school children with many taking part.
Thomas Carpenter-Allum winning picture featured a snowman wearing a top hat. As well as featuring on the front of Robbie’s official Christmas card, Thomas was also presented with a House of Commons themed Speakers Bear.
Commenting Robbie said: “We had many wonderful submissions for my first ever Christmas card competition and I want to thank everybody who took part. It was a very tough choice with who to award the prize to, however Thomas’s picture ready stood out for me and that is why I though he was a worthy winner. The cards have now been printed and will be distributed across the constituency.
“I also want to thank Keighley-based A1 Stairlifts for sponsoring the card which was produced and distributed at no cost to the taxpayer.”
