The Ilkley Food Bank volunteers ‘work’ six days out of seven collecting, packing and delivering your donations and look forward to your continued support.
Ilkley Food Bank said:
“With recent events and lock down there is an opportunity for each of us to take stock, perhaps to reflect on the great work of the many people who give their time, energy and support to help others. To think about how, through simple everyday deeds, we can benefit those in our community that need a helping hand. Of course we all have challenges at times like these such as the opportunity to visit family and meet friends and even just to go out.”
“Nevertheless through our volunteers and the goodwill of people who donate food and other essentials the Ilkley Food Bank continues to provide a vital service to many individuals and families locally and we thank you for that.”
“Naturally we rely on regular donations and while we are very grateful for whatever people can give we are currently in need of certain items to help us restock and supplement our supplies.”
“In particular if you can, through our usual in-store donation points, give tins of meat, fruit, rice pudding and custard, packets of biscuits and ‘treats’ for children plus washing-up liquid and soap powder this would be of huge benefit.”
“If you’re still unable to get to your local supermarket but would like to help financially instead, please don’t forget that you can donate online via the following link: www.gofundme.com/ilkley-food-bank”
Ilkley Food Bank donation points are at: Booths, Tesco, Co-op (Bolton Bridge Road) and Ilkley Medical Centre.
