At its next concert, Airedale Symphony Orchestra will perform music inspired by epic journeys, which challenge how we see the world.
The concert is on Sunday 17 November at the King’s Hall in Ilkley from 3pm, pieces will include:
Wagner: The Flying Dutchman overture
Rachmaninoff: Piano concerto no. 4 - soloist William Green
Sibelius: Symphony no. 2
A spokesperson Airedale Symphony Orchestra said: “With pirates and ghosts and treasure chests in Wagner’s overture to 'The Flying Dutchman'. Passionate homecomings in a Rachmaninoff piano concerto, and glorious music of wide horizons, light and power from Sibelius in his second symphony.
“Come along to this afternoon of great music to ward off the Winter chill! There will also be cake!”
