A public exhibition, Planning for Our Future, on Wednesday this week (9 October 2024) will give members of the public a chance to view building plans for Ilkley Grammar School (IGS), meet members of the project team and share feedback.
As part of the national School Rebuilding Programme, IGS was approved for funding in the third round in July 2022, one of sixty-one schools announced and the only one in the Bradford District.
A spokesperson for IGS said: "Some of the current buildings at Ilkley Grammar School are in a poor condition and are approaching the end of their useable life span. Therefore, as part of the national School Rebuilding Programme, the Department for Education has tasked Bowmer + Kirkland with developing a scheme that addresses building condition in order to better accommodate students, staff and the community, achieve net zero carbon in operation for new buildings and provide improved facilities."
The drop-in event will take place in B: Hall on Wednesday 9th October 2024, 5.00pm - 8.00pm, please enter the school grounds from Cowpasture Road.
Views on the Ilkley Grammar School plans can be given at the public exhibition on Wednesday or by using the form at ilkleygrammarplans.co.uk by 20th October 2024.
The project team will carefully review your feedback along with that from other consultees before submitting a planning application to the local planning authority.
