The final Ilkley Civic Society Heritage Walk of 2022 will give an insight into Donkey Jackson on Friday 30th December.
John 'Donkey' Jackson hired donkeys for decades from his stand on Bridge Lane. His premises went through many changes over the years and towards the end of the nineteenth century the roof collapsed and he moved to Castle Yard.
A spokesperson said: "At Christmas, we traditionally have a short heritage walk followed by drinks at a local hostelry. This year the walk will be on Friday 30th December starting at 11am at the Manor House and will last about an hour.
