Volunteers from The Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) were called out to Ilkley Moor on Wednesday (22 March) to assist with a casualty who wasn’t breathing.
UWFRA posted on its Facebook page: “The team was called to assist with a casualty who wasn't breathing and was receiving CPR from passers by.”
“Local members joined in with the CPR, which was continued by paramedics and the air ambulance doctor. Unfortunately all efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. The team transported the casualty down to a waiting ambulance.”
“Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends.”
