Young people across Ilkley are being encouraged to get creative for local MP Robbie Moore’s annual Christmas card competition.
Every year, the local MP receives hundreds of entries from primary schools across the Keighley, Ilkley, Craven and Worth Valley areas.
The winning design will feature on the front of Mr Moore's Christmas card, which will be sent to local residents, MP's, local businesses and the Speaker of the House of Commons.
Following a close competition, Evie from Sacred Heart Primary School in Ilkley was crowned last year’s winner, with the design being presented to the Prime Minister.
The competition is open to all pupils of Primary School age across our area who live within Robbie Moore's constituency. Entrants can choose their own theme for the cards, but are encouraged to make their designs as bright and colourful as possible.
The deadline for submissions is Monday, 11th November, with prizes to be awarded for the winning entry and runners-up.
Hand-crafted designs should be posted to Mr Moore’s constituency office at Shan House, 80-86 North Street, Keighley, BD21 3AG.
Alternatively, a scanned copy can be emailed to robbie.moore.mp@parliament.uk.
Robbie Moore MP said: “Every year, the colour and creativity on display from our local schoolchildren is fantastic, and I have no doubt that this year’s Christmas card competition will be no different. If you’re the parent of a budding young artist, please do get your children involved - This year, the winning designs will be featured in Parliament and sent to the Speaker of the House of Commons!”
