Buses in the Ilkley area will run a Sunday service on each of the three bank holidays in May, that’s Monday 1st May, Monday 8th May and Monday 29th May.
This includes the Summer Sunday DalesBus services from Ilkley to Upper Wharfedale and Wensleydale, which have been improved for summer 2023. DalesBus services 875 and 876 run to Cracoe, Grassington, Kettlewell, Aysgarth and Hawes every Sunday and Bank Holiday, leaving Ilkley Bus Station at 1015 and 1110. Both services are run by double-decker buses to provide more space and great views of the Yorkshire Dales.
Other Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday DalesBus services from Ilkley to the Yorkshire Dales National Park include Cravenlink bus 864 to Malham at 1015, Cravenlink bus 873 to Bolton Abbey, Barden Moor and Skipton at 1120, 1440 and 1620, and DalesBus 874 to Bolton Abbey, Burnsall, Grassington, Kettlewell and Buckden at 1015 and 1410.
£2 single fares will continue to be available on all these buses until the end of June as part of a national initiative by the Department for Transport.
Trains will generally run a normal weekday timetable on the bank holidays, check the National Rail Journey Planner here.
