About Ilkley Chat

Started in 2013 by Ilkley resident Nick Babb, Ilkley Chat is a page for everyone interested in the Ilkley district.

In almost 5 years, Ilkley Chat has grown to over 27,000 followers on Facebook, a further 7,000 on Twitter and its contribution in the community acknowledged with a Tesco Local Hero Award in 2015, a Special Recognition Award at the 2016 Ilkley Business Awards and an Ilkley Parish Council Certificate of Merit in 2017.

Over the years Ilkley Chat has raised thousands for charity with the Ilkley Calendar and helped hundreds of businesses and residents looking for work, with the very popular weekly Jobs Board post.

For many it is the first place they go for news, weather and travel information about Ilkley. Ilkley Chat also helps reunite lost & found, shares wonderful photos old & new, helps & promotes the activities of locals groups & organisations and so much more!
